ArabDev is building the IT capacity of schools, universities and NGOs through training and technical advise. ArabDev introduced Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and its use in the University of Menia and selected schools in Menia governorate. This is the first time that FOSS has been used in Upper Egypt.

ArabDev's NGO capacity building activities enabled staff from member NGOs to become IT trainers and focal points for IT activities for their organizations. The NGOs are now IT outreach points to their communities and nearby grassroot organisations.
